Lock Timing

Post by Smity42 »

Hi Matt,

It would be good if there was a way to lock the timing to a specific value (e.g. 15 degress) so that it can be checked with a timing light.

I tried using the Active Tests - Base Timing option to do this, but it did not seem to do anything (RB30E ECU).

Cheers,

Martin

This function is only available with Nissan consult ECUs

Earlier Type 1 ECUs will push out consult data, but active tests is not available (and will not be) for these models

I suggest follow the factory service manual, disconnect TPS sensor with coolant temp around 80 degC and it should sit on the 15 deg BDTC cell on the timing map
