Q45 AFM max HP?

I think that when I changed my AFM from Z32 to Q45 it was because in NT the horsepower rating was above that of the Z32.
(That's about 3 years in the past)

I recently had a look at NT (change MAF) and the Q45 is listed at 444HP?

My car makes about 420HP and the MAF value at that point is 4.8V (that's about 80% of the MAF voltage / flow range)
So when I add the remaining 20% I get to about 500HP, not 444.

how to you calculate 20%? 5.1v compared to 4.8v does not look for me 20% difference. More like 6-7%

Hello,

You're correct with the % calculation if it were a linear relationship (voltage/flow), however it is not.

The change was done when the original file around 2008 was 480hp and changed in 2011 to 444hp (so six years ago)

Are you referring to engine or rwhp?

420rwhp = 313rwkw which is about the same as the limit for the R35 MAF

We dont have an accurate HP measurement for the Q45 but from what I know so far is that it maxes out sooner than the Z32 (500rwhp)

Thanks Matt..

.. that explains it.
I was thinking engine not rwhp.

If I should ever reach 500 at the engine I will let you know what the voltage is.

The Q45 has a lager diameter, it's interesting that it maxes out earlier.
Also MAF curves for both look very similar.

best swapping out to something else anyway, the q45 is a pain to work with on small engines and small inj pulsewidths.
