hi all,
just heard of autotune, sounds cool, is it available on the individual licence? if not why not.
it would be really cool to have autotune do ignition also, based on a knock sensor type input , like those audible knock kits, so you plug it into your mic jack on the laptop,

auto tune was started but i never got to finishing it.... i just need to add the bit to monitor the AFR output and then adjust fuel up / down. its on the enhancement list at the moment.
dont have any proper knock sensing working at the moment to auto tune timing so i suggest that is done manually

cool , Thanks matt,
is autotune - knock added to the evergrowing to do list?

I wasn't aware that the knock facility of the nissan ecus was reliably capable of such a thing. It's often only used on a tiny fraction of a standard map.

i meant as an external add on, so you can plug a knock sensor to the laptop mic in, much like a wideband. that way your ecu does not need to have knock capabilities.
autotune, would just back off a certain percentage of the ignition value from where it detects knock, it would have to be pretty fast though,
you would have to start with a pretty retarded ignition map ,

The best way to do ignition is on a r/r. I would aim for MBT (minimum best timing) basically you sacrafice a few % in power on the slightly retarded side of things. Doing this on the road can be done by feel and det cans and experience but its still harder, and less accurate.

It hasn't been added yet but I can add it but would be low priority at this stage. I could use an external A/D sensor input for knock to use to trigger knock indication in the software and react timing to it (if it was fast enough)
But must get through the more immediate problems before doing these enhancements
