I still, for over a month now cannot connect to consult. First it was a problem with the software, now i got my computer fixed and it runs fine. But i cannot connect because it says there is no driver installed. I tried going into my devices and installing the nistune driver provided for windows XP, but no luck, i dont know what to do....help!

The installation instructions for Type 1 USB are here
http://home.aanet.com.au/nistune/docs/N ... ctions.pdf
If you are having problems. Can you please try the following out:
Start with the
Type 1 NIStune Diagnostics Document
http://home.aanet.com.au/nistune/docs/N ... cument.pdf
Some of this is a little old and needs updating for the latest version boards but the majority still applies
Part A
(1) Let me know if the device shows up as per this section when plugged in (download USB view from the USB Diagnostic Utilities directory)
http://home.aanet.com.au/nistune/reg_utils/
(2) Let me know if the NIStune USB Communications Device shows up in device manager and has no problems associated with it
(Removing the driver from Device Manager and then reinstalling will only load the same files from your hard drive last last time. So it wont actually fix anything)
This part of the doc also mentions that there is a UNistune.exe in the drivers directory that can be executed to remove the driver files from your hard drive or FTclean.zip if that fails to uninstall
Then try the reinstall of drivers after cleaning the old ones off
Part C
Let me know the list of files in the driver that are installed as per this section.
If the above doesnt work then can you please try the DLP Design application with DLL ticked and see if it 'sees' your NIStune board here and also if it can open it.
If the DLP Design app can see and communicate with your board, then NIStune should be able to also
Let me know how the above goes

Thanks Matt, that is a very thorough reply, i am going to try all of these options. I appreciate it, i will get back as soon as possible, hopefully getting it to work. Should i be running the newest software available? I am running 9.107 version i think it is. I am thinking about removing nistune completely off the computer and starting over, maybe that will help...
