Going through the software, i can't find anywhere this sensor is actually used?

Whats it for?

From my microtech days, air temp sensor was used to change enrichment dependant on intake charge temperature.

One thing I have seen nissan use it for on similar vintage ECCS is ignition trim. It will cut off x degrees on a 16 point temperature scale.

How are you searching the code? Looking for adc access?

Does the code use two 32x1 interpolation routines or just one?

NVM, I think i misunderstood what you were referring to by software.

Ignition trim I would imagine.

IAT is not used by NIStune for indexing any of the tables at all. It is only displayed on the gauges and available for logging

Does this mean that it doesnt trim the ignition on the factory setup, i was under the impression that the timing was retarded as intake temps reached a certian point. The Rb26 PFC retards the timing in a table, and they are based on a factory ecu?
