first attempt: R31 RB30E manual

Hey guys.. First attempt at getting a bit more poke from a friends (almost) stock 3ltr manual r31.

Modifications consist of an XF throttle body and a 2.5" exhaust.

This tune appears to give a 'feelable' difference up at high RPM, but low load/low rpm isn't quite as smooth as the factory map. (will g-tech results when i have some time :p) I figured I'd post it up and hope for any feedback or tips (or even other tunes to compare with!) to aid the learning curve.

I'm wondering if the timing can be pushed any further? - or is there not really any more power to be made past this point?

Thanks!
Luke

edit: apologies - this was meant to land in the 'tuned rom images here' thread!

This is the timing increase (delta) on a fuel tronics timing map I pulled from a GTS2. Gives a bit of extra power midrange on the dyno curves. I didnt get a huge top end increase but engine was getting heat soaked and clutch fan kicking in about that time. I was getting audiable pinging on the road with my AFM settings stock (it reads too lean)

You will see that this thing must have been tuned on 98 octane and upto 10 degrees timing.

The power chip ones are a bit safer than this one, about 3-5 degrees increase for their 'gold' chip. Note not really any changes on fuel map from these

Matt, is that the 'delta' against stock calibration? or over the one that I've posted up?

(common sense says stock, but .......)
