What CA18DET is this Bin from

Post by Ashley »

Good Afternoon guys.

Sorry for asking but what Ca18DET runs the following bin "S13_CA18_MECD016B.bin" found with the programmer install

What I can gather from the tune is that its could be an 8 port Ca18Det looking at the timing and fuel map and it seems to be a jap spec because of the speed limiter it also could be running a little more boost with the change in TP I might be wrong so any input welcome

It also has aggressive timing when compared to other CA18DET maps and runs a slightly higher AFR the other maps

I used to have a jdm ECU which was MEC-D016 (code 78 ) and it had a part number of 23710-36F05. MEC-D016 is a cat version for sure.

39XXX are euro ecus and cat (with a lambda sensor), this is what i currently have (code 70, mec-d007) and runs perfectly on a jdm engine with a lambda sensor.
interesting run down
36Fxx = Jap / non-cat
39Fxx = Euro / cat
44Fxx = Euro / non-cat

xxF1x = automatic gearbox
xxF0x = manual gearbox
I'm trying to categorise the files better but there is no central place for all this information. We have noticed the 10 = auto / 00 = manual at the end is correct with some ecus

For the European models:

23710-39F05 0990 on AP-CA18DT.MT
23710-39F15 0990 on AP-CA18DT.AT

23710-44F00 0988 1089 CA18DT.MT
23710-44F01 0988 1089 CA18DT.MT
23710-44F02 1089 0990 CA18DT.MT and 0990 NAP.CA18DT.MT

23710-44F10 0988 0990 CA18DT.AT and 0990 NAP.CA18DT.AT

Lambda ECUs are 39F (AP - Anti Pollution from 09/90)
Non-lambda (AFM adjustment screw) ECU's are 44F (NAP - No Anti Pollution upto 09/90)

Manual ECUs have 0 as the last but one digit (MT)
Auto ECUs have 1 as the last but one digit (AT)

Prior to 09/90 all ECU's are non lambda so NAP not shown.
