I am in the position to look for a management system for my HCR32 and came across nistune seems to be what i am looking for.... however after some research from the link below, it doesn't seem to have a deinitive answer about using the old ostrich and if its compatible? As I have the older ones version 1 that I had from my civic, and probably a little cheaper to use that for now then a board for the mainwhile until I get used to the software and upgrade to a board... I will need the consult cable still for datalogging though? Thanks

Looks like I missed Andys reply in that thread

We have always supported the Ostrich 1.0 but when some of the extra functionality was added to the Ostrich 2.0 and we supported it - stopped the Ostrich 1.0 from working

So I've added in some code to detect which Ostrich is being used. If its the later one then we support vendor ID and hardware version checking in addition to hardware maptracing

From the log in that thread it appears to be uploading/downloading properly. There was just an odd message on the status bar. That version was 0.9241 and was fixed since. Latest is 0.9265

You should be able to try it with the trial version doing upload/download etc

Thanks Matt for the quick reply :)

I got the software downloaded opened it once (as its under trial) so it expired.. Do i just uninstall and reinstall to solve this problem? also need to get hold of ADR files and Rom files ? As I didn't download the pack only the lastest software.... but the pack comes with those files are older version ?

If you download the ROM file pack it contains the latest address files and ROM images

Just uninstall/reinstall the trial version to use it again. I will get around to putting about a three time use in there eventually
