VQ map issues
Hi Matt,
Why is it when you open a B13 or P10 .bin, and you look at the current VQ map detected it displays "S14-SR20DE (250 HP)"? When there is actually the option in the drop down list for the B13 SR20DE but this appears that it is not loaded in the bin as stock..
Both the B13/P10 SR20DE use the 22680-53J00 MAF.
The S14 SR20DE uses the 22680-52F00 and 22680-52F01 MAF.
....................................................................................................
Same issue with the RNN14_SR20.bin the RNN14 GTi-R uses the 22680-54C00 MAF, I do believe the 54C00 and 54C01 are interchangable though.
Same issue with the W10_SR20DET_95N11.bin, actually you dont have the W11 Avenir SR20DET.bin, but both the W10/W11 Avenir SR20DET and for that matter the U13 Buebird SR20DET all use the 22680-54C01 MAF.
The U13_SR20_1E000.bin doens't specify SR20DET or DE but I knows it SR20DET by the part number refference "1E000", but that also has the wrong maf.
Also noticed a few other issues haven't looked at everyhting but if you take a look at this thread down towards the bottom you will see what im talking about.

Ok I came to that conclusion myself but something still doesn't fit. Lemme show a screen shot:TSL wrote:Because some MAF sensors share the same voltage curve.
Nistune looks at the voltage translation table to determine which MAF is being used. When there are 2 or more MAF sensors with the same voltage curve, nistune has no way of telling the difference.
The picture on the right represents exactly what the .bin looks like when you open it up (NOTICE the S14 SR20DE MAF is selected automatically)
The picture on the left represents the voltage curve change after selecting the correct MAF for the B13.
So they dont have the same voltage curve

One thing that was weird to me (not that this is the cause) but when I tried to do I log on my B13 SR20DE it would not map trace.
I have a S13 240SX adn a B13 Sentra SE-R but and I have atleast 5 other friends with B13's SR20DET and im not sure why it would only map trace in one colum and not log TP, but consult function seems to work and this was the case on all the B13's, however it works on other S13's.

I don't know about the map trace but lets just focus on one thing at a time.
Looks like B13 use more than one type of maf.
For example 64Y00 and 64Y01 have different VQ tables.
This doesn't change the fact that one variation of B13 maf shares the same voltage curve as the s14 maf.
Two things need to happen now.
1. Someone needs to correctly identify all the different variations of ecu/maf that exist.
2. Matt could look into the way MAFs are labeled/identified when there are cases of different mafs sharing the same voltage curves.

I can do that, and I have done so before rasing this issue.TSL wrote:I don't know about the map trace but lets just focus on one thing at a time.

I have Nissan FAST JDM USDM and Infiniti volumes so I cross refferenced the shit out of all these cars before O spoke on it.
When I get some time i'll go threw once again and compile all the MAF's the B13 SR20DE used with there part numbers just to certain.

Please have a look at this thread also, its not what the titel suggest it turned into somehting completelt different:

I can confirm B13 SR20DE VQMAPs for 64Y15, 71Y05 and 64Y00 are the same as S14 SR20DE 65F00
Which is why it has the same name. To update it just change the descrption against the VQ map bin in the definitons to B14/S14 SR20DE. I've updated it here for the next release
Send me through a BIN which doesnt work (and part number) and I can check that one out for you

I have yet to see a bin the doesn't work with is correlating address file, im not saying that but....Matt wrote:I can confirm B13 SR20DE VQMAPs for 64Y15, 71Y05 and 64Y00 are the same as S14 SR20DE 65F00

Ok if you open up the nistune B13 SR20DE adress file and then open the Nistune B13_SR20DE_64Y00_1993 .bin (which appears to have teh wrong year) see below
Its shows the VQ MAP label as being S14 SR20DE, if this is the correct VQ MAP table for the B13 SR20DE wouldn;t it make better since to label it B13/S14 SR20DE instead of B14 unless the B14 SR20DE shares the same VQ table as well?
If thats true shouldn't teh label read B13/B14/S14 SR20DE
*BTW the 64Y00 ECU is a 90-91 also supercided by the 64Y01 91-92 ECU

It used to be hoisted here http://www.skylinesdownunder.com/forums ... hp?t=34952 I think the links may be dead but the instruction of how to set it up are helpful.Matt wrote:I'm still to play around with FAST. Know a good location to get it?
I meant B13 not B14... sorry about that
Listed as:
B13/S14/N14 SR20DE now in the next VQmap definition file (which you have found)
N14 is pulsar which is about the same as B13 in the USA
You should be able to download the volumes you need here also:

As far as I can tell the N14 never offered a SR20DE but instead a SR18DE and the SR20DET (GTi-R), im talking JDM market.Matt wrote:I meant B13 not B14... sorry about that

GTi-R - 22680-54C00 (SR20DET)
GTi - 22680-58Y00/02 (SR18DE)
