Speed limiter

Post by 4x4le »

When I downloaded the latest version (0.9271) of nistune the other day and all the address files ect because I got the new license I noticed I cant max out the speed limiter 1 anymore. I havent tried it on more than 1 car or anything but only on my s13 red top sr. but when I brought in some of my existing tunes with the speed limiter raised to the max, if I lowered it then I was only allowed to bring it back up to like 210 I think it was.

I dont know if Its like that on other bin files and addresses but if you could, do you think you could correct this for me on the next release? Im in no hurry but I would like to be able to actually kill off the speed limiter if a customer wants it gone. 210 is too slow for some people lol.

S13_SR20DET_256_E and S13_SR20DET_256_E_test

actually all the addresses I have tried are the same with it. on S13_SR20DET_256_E the speed limit it brings up on the factory bin file is 200kmh 0x64 and the max is 255kmh 0x7f which is 127.0%

On a tune I made a while ago the speed limit is 510kmh 0xff at 100% and if I open it and take the speed all the way down to 0 and bring it back up it brings me to 255kmh 0x7f at 49.8% and will not allow me to go higher.

My desk top does not have this problem but I dont tune with it. Its running version 0.9.2.61 and I havent updated it to my tuner license yet and my laptop is actually running version 0.9.2.70 I lied on the first post and I though it was 0.9.2.71
I thought that is the one I downloaded but maybe that is what its called on the download page and the "about nistune" under help calles it 0.9.2.70? Either way Im thinking something is just up with my program itself. Ill try downloading it again later and see if it helps anything.

By the way, that is for speed limit 1. limit 2 and 3 are un effected. Can you tell me what the 3 different limiters are for? Is speed limit 1 where the speed limiter comes in? Or is it where it allows the engine to take off again? If its the latter I guess it isnt necessary to mess with. I have never setup a low speed limiter just to figure them out.
