sounds like you didnt get the drivers to install properly
Visit Device Manager and then find the Nistune USB device and reinstall the drivers for it. For more information please see the Type 1 USB installation manual on the documents page at
www.nistune.com
This will detail how you install the drivers

The only change i made is going from a 85 turbo ECU to a 88 ECU with nistune. I did the dropping resistors and the injector rewire.
After i had the board installed i plugged in the ecu and started the car and it immediately flooded itself.
Is there a ROM image in the ECU, or do i need to load one?

can you screen shots of the error message of what you are seeing inside device manager? what is the status of the device?
You can use ALT-PRINTSCREEN to get a screengrab!
Then open up MS-Paint and use paste to see it. Then you can save that to JPG and post up on here
I dont know exactly what is going on with it at the moment??

The replacement usb to board plug-in fixed the "unknowen USB device" problem and allowed me to install the drivers.

good stuff. so it was the connector cable to the USB socket?
can you please send the other bits back and I'll have to investigate what the cause of the problem is. Most likely a crimp connector not contacting the cable properly from the sounds of things
