just wondered if anyone knows if it is possible to map a type 1 board (on a ca18det) with anti-lag and if so any links or info would be great

just remember time zone differences before bumping posts!

no anti lag has been implemented on top of standard ECU tuning at this stage. there are requests for launch control and anti lag sitting in my enhancements to do list but i've got a bunch of stuff to get through before those are tackled

oops

what would need to be done is some form of customisation using map switching. i know of someone customising the code but its more to remove some of the factory stuff at this stage. you could use the knock map as a secondary map for anti lag im thinking based on switchable input

sounds promising, could it be switched by some form of input to the knock board maybe?? just pitching ideas here.... :)

could you not simply switch the knock sensor input??

not directly since it goes via filter board. you could use the dtc trigger to use the maps

Have you tried retarding your decel timing and playing with your fuel in the areas of the map where it decels?

I have done this with some success (i believe) although I cannot monitor turbo speed but I do feel that it is helping (kill my turbo that is :D )

how far did you retard your timing etc bud??

I decreased the decell timing to 0 but I cant remember at what rpm I left it alone at. You can also log your min pulsewidths at every given rpm in every gear at every speed and set your therotical min pulsewidths a little below that and all that. I just did it messing around and Im going to go a little less extreme on mine but there is lots of playing around with it you can do. Be creative.

With a anti lag your looking for late to no spark and a little extra fuel to combust late. Be creative on how to do this.

Sorry, I dont have my tune on this computer to look at and Im sure there are better ways to do it than I have done but just play around with it a little and kiss your turbo good bye :)
