BNR32 1994 V-Spec- does NIStune board work on it?

Post by skylinegtrhr »

Hi,
I'm now looking to purchase BNR32 1994 V-Spec( because for better ATTESA that normal GT-R), but I heard some not confirm information that late models of BNR32 does not have same ECU as early models? Would NIStune board type2 work on BNR32 1994 V-Spec ?

I was also thinking about BCNR33 early model (price is not much different from BNR32 V-spec) but NIStune is not support and I really don't want to spend over 1000$ for some alternative board or stand alone ECU (I think it is better to spend it in engine bay) , is this board on agenda in near future?

Thanks for help.

Thanks for answers, so those rumors about two types of BNR32 ECU are just rumors.

One way to know is if you have the ECU part number from FAST or the vehicle itself

We can then see if its similar to other early model Hitachi units

BCNR33 using BNR32 board with Nistune

Post by bj226 »

Yes the BCNR33 can use the BNR32 ECU + Nistune board with slight modification on the OEM O2 harness. Besides, make sure you change to R32 oxygen sensors as R32 and R33 use different o2 sensors (i.e. titania vs zirconia)! :D

all r32 and r33 gtr ecu are interchangable, we just fit a type 2 to the r32 ecus and fit them up to the r33, no difficult mods needed. We have a r33 v spec with lots of mods and a remapped r32 ecu making 380awkw. Runs like factory and returns better than stock economy.

Nistune and GTR's are my favorite jobs, i call them vanilla tunes as they are so smooth and easy.

your wrong i have owned a 1994 bnr32, the series one GTST r33 was released but the gtr didnt come till later on so they were selling r32 gtr next to r33 gtst for nearly a year.

1994 BNR32's are the most sought after gtr for modifiers as they have 33 running gear but in a lighter package.
