Simple TP Limit Question, I searched first...

I got Nistune running and squared away, now I have a question before going to the dyno friday for my first tuning session.
On a VH45/Q45 ECU, the timing and fuel maps have 72 as the highest load value. If my cammed VH exceeds this load level, I understand that the ECU will use the values in the 72 column for all loads equal to or above 72. But my question is this...
Will my logs still show the true TP value? So if the cammed engine hits a TP load of 85, will my logs read 85 while the map used 72, or will the TP log just pin at 72 and stay there?
The reason I ask is because I already rescalled my maps for a slightly higher TP and 8000RPM, but if I hit a TP even higher than I anticipate, will it tell me the MAX TP I hit so I can scale the maps high enough without going overboard and loosing resolution?
