S14 with OBD1 RB20, trying to run Ostrich 2.0

Post by Adam Hopkins »

Matt, I apologize in advance for my newb questions, I am just not as familiar with the Nissan platform as I am other vehicles. I will learn quickly and hopefully at some point be able to answer questions like mine in the future. I just could not find the exact information I was looking for.

I have a customer that is wanting to bring me a s14 with a rb20. He said he is running a obd1 ecu and it has already been chipped. He said that he does not think he has a consult port on his car. Can we just wire up a consult port into his harness at the ecu and connect there?

If I am not mistaken the rb20 ecu is 8 bit and I should be able to tune the car realtime with my Ostrich 2.0, correct?

If I do both of these things will we be able to map trace in the car?

Thanks again and I am sorry if this has been answered before.

Have a look through the documentation page... there is lots of info on that page

Emulator tutorial has everything you need
http://www.nistune.com/docs/NIStune_Emu ... torial.pdf

Maptracing is done via consult and updates are done via emulator
