Small screen support for Application.

Hi Matt, I know I may be in the minority, but I run nistune on an antique Asus Eeepc with a max resolution of 1024x600. The problem is the buttons on the toolbar go off the screen after the burn eeprom button, and I think occasionally the mapping windows will actually spawn off the screen. Can there...

Ethanol compatibility of nissan injector seals.

Hi guys, I know this isn't directly connected to Nistune, but as it is compatible with E85 it might be relevant.

Has anyone here had any problems running ethanol rich fuel? I was looking to fit ptfe fuel lines, but wondering if I need to change the injector seals too.

Cheers,
Pete

Re: Simulated Narrowband/ 39f/44f lambda signal voltage tolerance

Thanks for the reply, hopefully I can get the ecu software side of the 44f to work like the 39f lambda version, if not I might just put in a 39f ecu. Seeing that people have put 12v in inputs by accident and not fried anything is good to hear, 2.7 for very short periods should be bearable, I suppose...

Simulated Narrowband/ 39f/44f lambda signal voltage tolerance

Hi guys, I am planning to wire a 14point7 SLC OEM simulated narrowband into my non lambda CA18DET (which to what I have read so far is possible, as I don't need the heater transistor). My problem comes from the fact that when the module goes into a calibration mode, it pulls the simulated narrowband...

Re: z32 rich and non matching dual wb during warmup, random miss when warm

Might not be relevent to your problem, but 43psi fuel pressure at idle with the vacuum reference connected sounds pretty high doesn't it? This site says it should be ~43psi at rest with the vacuum reference off, so a lot lower with vacuum. https://conceptzperformance.com/wiki/index.php/Fuel_Pressure...

Re: CA18DET ECU Signal Ground Pin 30 floating

Ah yes, you were right. 20200826_185525.jpg I have a suspicion it has been caused by the engine earth being on the inlet manifold, without this having a good enough connection to the engine block so a portion of the starter and alternator current will have been going through the signal ground throug...

CA18DET ECU Signal Ground Pin 30 floating

Hi Matt et al, I am attempting to fault find a mate's car with a rather bizzare error. The TPS and coolant temp signal ground pin 30 on the ECU is floating from 5v (in relation to body ground) when the TPS and coolant sensor is plugged in, to 0v when they are disconnected. It has just occured to me ...

Re: Large adjustment required on stock map.

Hi,

Yes, setting the pot to 370 ohms has sorted the problem out, the fueling is pretty good now, no random leaning out.

Cheers,

Pete

Re: Large adjustment required on stock map.

Last log shows around 15.19 on cruise (2400rpm). bit lean What point along the Load axis would cruising be (or rather, where I should I aim to get to 14.7)? When looking at the tracer, there doesn't seem to be any regularity with what cell is running at afr 10, and what is afr 16. I presume once th...

Re: Large adjustment required on stock map.

About the MAF potentiometer, I can see 2 ways it may be wired up. 1) both elements of a voltage divider in the maf, connected to what I think is battery voltage, and ground. This would mean the signal voltage would vary with battery voltage. 2) only half of the potentiometer is used, and the other h...

Re: Large adjustment required on stock map.

I have completely removed the mixture control pin from the ECU connector (Pin 37 thick green and yellow wire) on the assumption that the ecu will have a pull down resistor of some sort, and a lack of any input will cause it to revert to just the map. The hope is that without a signal going in, it wi...

Re: Large adjustment required on stock map.

There are two datalogs attached, both are slow roads, before a fast road, then slow roads again. First one is coming up to temperature, and second one is up to temperature, with a few turns out on the MAF potentiometer. It didn't seem to alter the injector duty cycle or AFR at idle, but the fueling ...

Re: Large adjustment required on stock map.

Is there anyway of reading the adc that the mixture tuning potentiometer on the maf is connected to in the hardware/software? I think I will try to use the estimated pulse width in the fuel mixture correction page to adjust the potentiometer to get the idle pulse width correct, and hopefully that wi...

Re: Large adjustment required on stock map.

I put my stock air box back in incase the cone filter I had on was causing turbulence in the intake, but it seems it is not the problem. When I am pulling away the map seems to get stuck around the cell which is in the attached photo, which happens to be where the 0 transitions to 15/20. This is whe...
