Hey Matt,
Just having a look at the hex editor now, all the address lines in my ECU have numbers infront of them, not letters. I'm guessing it's not adjustable in here then?

Re: Vg30e Launch Control
Hi Matt, I have just come across this same thing, my Z31 ECU is probably the latest one you have modified for the feature pack. The launch control is very un-exciting for the Z31.. I have access to UV light chip coding. Does that help to program hard coded things? Can we do anything to make it more ...

Re: AEM Smart Coil and tacho
Yeah, that or its expecting a high voltage feedback from the coil discharging to run the tacho and tell the ECU the coil has fired. There is 2.2k resistor inline from the blue wire to the tacho so I think it'll be a high voltage signal. But this is the kicker. If I try run the coil without the blue ...

Re: AEM Smart Coil and tacho
Hey Matt,
Your right, the tacho output for the ECU is from the CAS. The tacho output for the gauge cluster is a signal from the coil. I may need to get an adapter to make it work.
Thanks for your reply

Re: Z31 cold start issues
Ahh, I see. Ill make some changes and see how I go tomorrow morning. I managed to get it a little better by changing the latency of the injectors but its still a bit shit. Thanks Matt.
By the way, got that 32gtr ecu sorted too, working nicely now .

Z31 cold start issues
Howdy Having an issue lately with cold start. The car will start fine and then after a few seconds it leans right off until it dies. It will do this until it gets to about 40 degrees engine temp and then it runs better. The log shows that as the engine starts to lean off from 13afr, nothing changes ...

Re: Can i use readings off nistune to diagnose my MAF?
For sure man! if there is any irregularities in the voltage while you are driving like voltage spikes or drops then you will be able to see it for sure. Even just have the laptop in the engine bay and monitor your readings while you fiddle with the maf.

Re: Idle problem
I have had this same problem for as long as I can remember on my 87 Z. I have learned to just deal with it because I've tried everything in Nistune and it just wont get any better. Although I have changed my dizzy assembly and it seems to be happier but that might just be in my head. Haven't had tim...

Ah, ok. Ive just seen it hit 8 volts at some stages, seems to be after i wash the car so water must be getting in there somewhere and making it play up..
All good, thanks for the help Matt.

Unknown ECU, Z31
Howdy Does anyone know what kind of ECU this is? Its supposed to be an Australian delivered manual 87 300ZX Turbo. While the outter case has the right numbers stamped onto it, inside its different and a google search doesnt come up with anything on the ECU number.. Reason Im asking is because I want...
