AFTER_START_TIMING_ADVANCE is temp based

Hi,

AFTER_START_TIMING_ADVANCE is temperature based, please correct it.

AFTER_START_TIMING_RETARD is RPM based, which is correct.

Support of Spartan3/Lite

Hi, What kind of support we may expect from Nistune here ? Spartan3/Lite supports LSU ADV sensors, this is a + It has RX/TX interface. https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0189/1312/files/Spartan_3_Lite_User_Manual_d0367156-fefd-471e-882a-b89bbd80095f.pdf?v=1674287743 https://www.14point7.com/pages/sof...

Re: Counterfeit Z32 MAF sensors (pics)

For 8psi, TP is exploding (139).
I usually have TP in the 105-115 area for 15-16psi.

Re: Counterfeit Z32 MAF sensors (pics)

I recently purchased a so-called refurbished 22680-30P00 N62 MAF. It looks to have exactly the same N62 internals  (except the copper shielding missing, despite of some traces of soldering paste, but I'm 99% sure it has not been cracked open before me) than my OEM 300zx MAF but it gets surges ...

E85/alcohol ignition timing

I'm chasing down the best timing for E85 in corner cases for VG30DETT. My thoughts: _when cruising, 38° 2500-3500rpm is optimal. Going higher than 40-41° for high rpm/low TP brings nothing _cruising with AFRs=18 is not a problem on E85. YOu may feel a small jerk when transitioning from 14.7 to 17-18...

Re: Nistune 1.4

Hi,

General question: why does Nistune require Admin rights to be installed if you don't install the drivers ?
May it change ?

It works with Conzult: in the option "IACV opening", you can select the % of opening (0..100%), it's a cycled coil. Above 30%, I can see my idle RPM raising.

IACV issue ?

I recently discovered my IACV was not working (corroded connector) but FICD was ok. So basically, my idle was only set with the idle setting screw for initial amount of air (I was in the 850-900 rpm area). So, now, IACV is working fine (i.e., RPM changes when the connector is removed) BUT when tryin...

Re: Short term trim with no oxygen sensor?

Generally I haven't seen trimming have an effect at idle What ? Trim happens in idle and affect injection times. LTFT is applied immediately and affects injection times, @idle, speed=0 STFT take a while to escape from the 100 value but they do after a while (>30secs) and affect injection times too....

Re: timing when cold

Your symptoms really look like warmup timing related but ok, you have 0°C in the WARMUP_TEMP_MAX and WARMUP_TEMP_MIN (Btw, I would put -50°C to have them always disabled). What is the knock timing strategy on this ECU ? I don't find any knock timing map !? For ref: https://forum.nistune.com/viewtopi...

Re: Injector and Coil packs drivers / mosfets used in Nissan ECU

For memory: Well, Fitting a Walbro 485 in 300zx is a long-term adventure and require engineering skills. I upgraded the FPCU: _Thicker copper tracks on PCB _MOSFET 2SK3715 (better than 2SK3705 on pictures) _freewheeling diode F20UP60DN _All the external wiring upgraded to 12AWG silicone wire to hand...

Injector and Coil packs drivers / mosfets used in Nissan ECU

Do some people have the part numbers of some typical injector/coil packs drivers (i.e mosfets or IGBTs) used in Nissan ECUs ? I want to check if I can find some mosfets that would give better performance in current rush, commutation time or conductance. I already modded the mosfets in the Z32 fuel p...

Re: Crank, startup, AS_ENRICH, engine dies, cold

I changed again my injectors and solved all my issues of hot cranking. My previous were chinese yellow 12 holes, pretty good on all the range, except cranking when playing with 2-3ms. I suspect the 12 holes drip more than they spray when the crank pulse is short. I just tested them on my bench (sho...
