Re: RB30ET, 300ZX, 280ZX injectors

Here are some cro trace pics of the injection pulse at various temps [shown as sensor resistance] This first one is just after start-up at about 15c. http://members.iinet.net.au/~dream/images/nistune/crotrace/3200_ohms.jpg This one is after a few mins of idling. The engine is struggling just a tad. ...

Re: RB30ET, 300ZX, 280ZX injectors

Cheers Matt, the reason I ask this is because the Intermotor FJ23 injector is being sold on ebay as a replacement for the RB30ET injector, but Intermotor have told me that the FJ23 application is for 81 - 83 280ZX and 84 - 85 300ZX. I have found that the FJ23's must have slightly more latency than t...

RB30ET, 300ZX, 280ZX injectors

Information I've dug up so far indicates that the 81 - 83 280ZX and the 84 - 85 300ZX used the same injectors?
Were they the same JECS 1Z42 or 2Z42 injector as used in the RB30ET?

Re: Simultaneous injection on stock RB30ET ecu during warm-u

This is in wrong section (Type 1 board) Similar to Z31 VG30ET ECU where it switches over at 60 degrees: http://forum.nistune.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=3153 Ah sorry Matt, move the whole thread if you want/can. Thanks for confirming that cold running is sim. injection yeah true, Could be the same ...

Re: Simultaneous injection on stock RB30ET ecu during warm-u

Yeah, it's only ever simultaneous or odd/even injector groups. it's hard wired. Try changing the temp value or temp chart in software, it should do the same. Yes, I knew they do the two modes, just didn't know that it stayed on sim. until 50c. The service manual for VL turbo only quotes cranking an...

Simultaneous injection on stock RB30ET ecu during warm-up

Didn't realise this until today while chasing another injection issue [more on that later]. I thought they only did simultaneous during cranking or high load. But my cro doesn't lie, it showed simultaneous injection until engine temp was about 50c [570 ohms at temp sensor], then it switched to group...

Re: Increased rev limit versus maps and scalers

Ah sorry, not thinking about this correctly.
rpm doesn't affect tp much, load is the predominate driver of tp, therefore that the maps stop at 6000 is neither here no there, the values will be pretty much the same at 8000 anyway.

Increased rev limit versus maps and scalers

Hi all,
Have been pondering what the ecu does with the maps/scalers if revs are allowed to go to, say 8000 rpm, given that the maps only translate up to around 6000 rpm?

Small bug in MAF translation and temp conv tables

When attempting to change the highest value [rh end] of either the maf translation or temp conv scales, Nistune locks with a 'not responding' message in the title bar.
Nistune version is 0.9.14.3b
OS - Winxp32 sp2

The pin numbers are silk screened on the main pcb at each corner of where the daughter board pins solder in [1, 11, 12 and 22] Will also be testing this as part of an upgrade on m...

Interesting, these must be ecu's from skylines, as I've not seen a vl n/a ecu with the 1k chip installed.

Did you make up an adapter to read this chip, or do you have a programmer that can configure this pinout?

Ok, then the next q. is why did they have the 1k in only the vl turbo computer and not the n/a, especially given that the position exists on the n/a board?
This suggests that the extra space was still needed for the turbo computer, yet clearly the turbo computer will run without it??
