adding too much timing in the boost transisition area will impede motor response.. the turbo motor needs to get on to boost. so we must balance PCP and EGT. too much timing and the motor is working against itself whilst turbo is trying to boost. also colder EGT = less turbine energy. too little timi...

for calibrating new injectors. set the injection multiplier so that you achieve correct AFR at full load.. then alter lag time to achieve low speed AFR.. youll mostly find that the published figures for this will not match up with what youve got on your screen.. but so long as your fuelling is A-OK ...

if an ecu has been pinlocked does this mean we cannot read the mapping nor overwrite?

the other week i tuned an sr20det on hks 264 step 2's with td05 18g.. there was a noticeable difference in engine rpm rate of rise with the vtc set to switch off at 5300rpm not the usual 5700rpm.. it is to reduce overlap as mentioned to stop the exhaust reversion at high rpm..
