Re: Intermittent Closed Loop issue in the wet?
hi, thanks for the info ... I've also had a look at a few threads talking about disabling O2 feedback. But what is unusual for me is that it only happens after a cold start. Once the car gets up to temp and onto the standard maps, then I see O2 feedback oscillation with it disabled (by max temp thre...

Re: Intermittent Closed Loop issue in the wet?
I did the same again this morning, but this time with the alpha-learn box ticked on connection to consult. What I saw was: on idle and very low rpm = alpha-learn was about 102 on light acceleration = alpha-learn dropped to about 96, and dropped to around 90 on further acceleration I'll have a look a...

Re: Intermittent Closed Loop issue in the wet?
Hi Matt, it was cold and wet again here today and I got a log done. This was with closed loop disabled (O2 feedback temp set at max), yet the wideband and narrow band gauges I have on the dash showed o2 open loop behaviour ... this can also be seen in the logs. any ideas? I'm guessing something is g...

Intermittent Closed Loop issue in the wet?
Hi all, I'm a bit confused by this :? .... I have been running the same map for a while now without too many issues (R33/RB25DETs1/z32ECU/z32AFM/550cc) the map is set with o2 feedback temp set to max (disabled), and with all cells set to o2 ON and then the values set from there (ie: > 192). Usually,...

VTC settings on RB25DET / z32 ECU
Hi, Just curious about what people think are the best settings for VTC coming on (load) and then cutting off (rpm) mine is currently set to come on at TP26 and cut off at 4900 is there any advantage / disadvantage of bringing this in sooner? [R33 rb25det / s1 / z32maf&ecu / 550 inj] thanks, Andy

Idle Stabilization Min/Max tables
Hi, I'm trying to work out how and when to use the Idle Stabilization Min/Max/Advance/Retard tables. I'm running a z32 ECU in an R33/RB25DET + type 2 board. Looking at the original bin file for an R33/RB25DET, these tables are populated ... however on all the z32 ECU for RB25DET bins that I've seen,...
TP Scales
Hi all, I've been looking at TP scales for my RB25DET (z32 AFM/ECU 550cc), the base bin file with RB25 AFM/370cc has a fairly linear scale going up 4 units at a time until the last 2 columns which jump 8 units: 12,16,20,24,28,32,36,40,44,48,52,56,60,64 ... then 72,80 I have resized my injectors 370 ...

Re: Warmup Timing Table values?
No worries, thanks for clarifying.
So back to the cold / warm enrichment tables ... I'll try leaning these out a bit, and will also have a look at the 4 cold start timing tables that are now 32 cell tables.
I'll let you know how I get on.
thanks again

Re: Warmup Timing Table values?
Hi Matt, Thanks for the clarification on the cold and warm enrichment ... I'll take a look at these. But ... are we talking about the same 'warm up timing' tables? Your screen print shows idle / decel tiiming ... the one I posted was warmup timing? I have just downloaded the ROM pack again and it sh...

Re: Warmup Timing Table values?
Hi Matt and A&M, Thanks of for the info. From what I had read I thought that the cold start and warm start enrichment tables were only used to start the car and stopped having an influence as soon as the engine is running? But I will have a play and see if the AFRs look any better with lower val...

Warmup Timing Table values?
Hi all, I've been having a few issues at cold start (UK) since my car was mapped. I had everything done at once so is difficult to narrow down the root cause :( R33 type 1 RB25DET fitted with z32 ecu+type 2 board / z32 MAF / jecs 550cc car starts fine but as soon as I use light throttle it splutters...

Re: What fuel ratio for boost transition?
sorry for the delay ... I ran a few log files but can't confirm what I need to yet. For some reason when i play the logs I'm not logging speed? will try again, maybe a software glitch? But, back to the more important stuff I guess I need to work out if I can take a feed off my boost controller to lo...

Re: What fuel ratio for boost transition?
Hi, thanks for the response ... I need to take it out and run a log to get an accurate reading, but on the timing map I'm set at about 33 - 24 degrees around transition .. here's the map

What fuel ratio for boost transition?
Hi, I have an R33 with 550cc inj /z32 AFM, all supporting fuel / air mods etc. My Nistune board was tuned recently and at top end it runs great ... but around boost transition it feels sluggish. Looking at the fuel maps it's set at around 15:1 to 14:1 in the transition area. In fact it only drops be...
