Re: B14_SR20DE_1M86F_MT_VCT_FP_maps
Yea this ECU is flashed with the feature pack for VCT, I was doing some searching here and I dunno if this is correct thinking but I see that the B13 ECU requires a a bridge or connection between pin 102 and 105 and got me thinking is that is necessary for the B14 ECU for VVL outpout but 103 and 105...

Hey Matt I tried wiring up the VVL solenoids to the EGR canister Solenoid from pin 103 on the B14 1M861 ECU and the solenoids stay engaged on full time not matter what I do with the setting Screenshot 2022-03-08 135348.jpg Screenshot 2022-03-08 at 14-01-54 Microsoft Word - Nistune Feature Pack Hardw...

Type 4 Fan Control
Haven't seen to much info on "Fan Control" but here are some finding I found messing with my car. Fan Temp Band 3 Active appears to control fan activation while setting idle in neutral and for my car factory setting is 100 degree, now I have wiggle room to drop that temp down to 95 degrees...

Type 4 Feature Pack question
Hey Matt I noticed between my Type 4 B14 SR20DE ECU and P10 SR20DE this difference with the "Knock Fuel Map" on the P10 G20 and lack thereof on the B14 Sentra/200SX, is the B14 suppost to have the Knock Fuel Map like the P10 G20 or something else, thanks in advance Matt

Re: DWELL DUTY (RAW)
Maybe same distributors, but different coils? I've checked the B14 address file and found there is an override for this parameter over the 32 byte default: DWELL_DUTY,&HE520,16,1,16,1 E520:0A 0A 18 27 37 46 55 65 74 84 91 99 A3 A9 AE B5 E530:00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 You w...

DWELL DUTY (RAW)
Hey Matt I found a little discrepancy in the B14 SR20DE "DWELL DUTY" RPM Scale, I included a screen shot comparing to the W10 SR20DET which uses the same distributor as the B14 SR20DE if that means anything https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/xq90/923/Mlmpzf.jpg DWELL TIME AND DUTY NISTUNE....

Re: Fuel Throttle Enrich (VE) Type 4
I've been having a good look through all ECU models with the VE map code and making comparisons. The ECU code will always copy RPM scale and then the TP/TPS scale to Y and X pointer before accessing the interpolation map. Some of these were correct (NEO) but others were inverted in the address file...

Hey Matt have you had a chance to mess with this yet?Matt wrote:I'll have a play with this ECU on the bench next week. The code and routines between B14 and R34 appeared the same (including when it uses the load when the TPS/boost signal isn't available on R34)

Re: S13 SR20DET STOCK MAP TP
Yeah looks about right. I usually follow Mr. Nissan's lead these days and reserve the last column for minimised timing, and then set it up so max boost has it just touching the second to last column. Then if the owner "accidentally" turns the boost up it'll go into the minimised timing co...

Re: S13 SR20DET STOCK MAP TP
Here's a fuel MAP Estimated AFR vs Actual AFR This car also runs a WALBRO 255 and it over runs the stock FPR a lot so static fuel pressure is 4 bar 58psi TIM is 780 Latency 290uS (for what ever reason this value kept the AFR in the low 13's at idle) stock 580uS acted funny would go lean then to rich...

Re: S13 SR20DET STOCK MAP TP
A stock S13 SR? That is a rare beast! Unfortunately I've got nothing. I have a ton of maps and logs for modified SR's but for a stock one? Not so much. All I've got is that I thought they ran a tad more boost than that - even stock. They have a couple of brass jets in the hoses to the WG actuator t...

Re: Base image S14A vs S15
With factory PSI it wont reach those columns. Assuming that Nissan kept in mind people like to increase the boost in their cars, and it would then take that path (or if the hose disconnected from the actuator and it was running full boost) Makes sense thanks Matt im going to up the boost to 11psi a...

Re: Base image S14A vs S15
Yeah good question. Short answer is that nobody but Nissan knows. Often what happens is that the car is released with Rev A of the tune. Then as they get customers actually using the local fuel and reporting back with stories of knock and broken engines they start tweaking the tune. So Rev B often ...

SCG-1 4 BAR MAP SENSOR LOOKUP TABLE IN/HG PSI
I created my own lookup table for the SCG-1 so that it would match my gauge in/hg / psi readings within Nistune
This was specifically done with a barometer of 29.86 in/hg
