Another thing

I find these icons for quick save nice but too dangerous ..
I just dunno how often I accidentally I clicked on them, and my image was overwritten

Can't you just make the icon go away?
Or at least ask if overwriting is OK?

Also backup files would be good (just in case)

unless others have the same issue I will keep them. Probably also add a 'save as' Icon also next to it perhaps? These follow the same function as MS Office where it will not as you to save/overwrite if you already have the file on disk

Well .. if you want to open a .bin then the SAVE icon is just 3 pixel next to it

For example I load my .bin ... do some editing and decide it was crap and want to load another image.
If I accidentally hit the SAVE one, my image has been overwritten ... without warning or backup.

As with all GUI design it does not apply to every user ...

I stopped using the icon for load and save and do it via the menu.

But even there lurks danger .. 'save image' overwrites without warning.
