vl turbo please urgent help

Post by boostedbb »

hi sorry guys newby here prob stupid question i have a vl turbo and having a few issues, i started it with a E-tune computer and stock airflow meter and it fires first hit of the key but dies around 2500 rpm and when shutting it off it doses like it revved to peak revs. tried it with the nistune and Z32 afm and it won't idle unless you hold it at around 1100 rpm still doses when turning off but won't idle past 1300 it cuts out as soon as throttle is touched (doesn't die or shut off just won't respond) list of mods below to eliminate theories
high flow turbo running stock 7psi for running in purposes
z32
nistune to suit z32
wade 818b cam
vernier cam gear
under driven balancer
1:1 reg at 30psi at idle
42lb injectors on aftermarket rail

any ideas? or does someone have a map close i can upload to try out? i really need this going as it is my every day work car

another wierd thing it runs the same with no AFM hooked up and fuels up majorly (eyes burning fron 5sec start)

cheers
Matt

Your ECU is running in AFM limp mode

What is Nistune showing (with VLT maps loaded) MAF voltage when
(a) Engine not running
(b) Engine idling
(c) Trying to rev

Dare say its stuck at same voltage. Measure your AFM signal wire also (shielded one) during these tests

MAF input pin to ECU and MAF signal wire (shielded wire). Use paper clips on multimeter wires to probe voltage
