Bogging when engine is cold

If it isnt a problem or a suggestion it probably goes here.

Are there any updates on the cold bogging issue?

yes i am looking through all the Z32/HCR/CA18 timing code currently. I've idenfied several types of timing maps

I've also completed Z31 and CR31/VLT last week

One is warm start timing and another one is indexed by load/rpm

Once I've finished that investigation I will double check on the bench and post up another version with address file updates. should be about end of next week I'll be finished

SR20 engines will be next

FYI,

I had this trouble on my CA18DET when running MECD007 (timing highly retarded during warmup phase that makes the car sluggish but afair it didn't do all the time).
It disappeared when running MECD022.
What I know is my 300Zx does exactly the reverse, it highly advances timing during warmup phase.

I has a look into the code and the diff b/w 007 and 022:
007 WARMUP_TIMING_TEMP_MIN,&H3FD4 is 15°C
022 WARMUP_TIMING_TEMP_MIN,&H3FD4 is 204°C (inoperative ...)

Need to xcheck what this threshold decides.

hi,

my sr20det u13 1e000 is bogging down hard when it is cold, it has fixed timing of 10 deg after start up untill u get to 65 engine temp,

i can find the tables for cold timing with tps on but none of these are with the tps off

i think that the table i am looking for is "Idle/Decel RPM Gear Timing"

maybe wrong tho

I was wrong, I'm facing exactly the same trouble with my 300zx in relation with the current weather outside.
It pulls the timing to a default 15° (from the table ...) on light trottle, lukewarm engine.
In fact the table is used from 30°C to 50°C, for rpm below 2600 and TP below 44.
It only highly advances (after start timing table + timing substract according to rpm table) when these conditions are not met.
