RB25 Z32TT ECU w/580cc injectors rough cold idle

Post by hudsontec »

As the title says I'm having problems with my car idling before it gets up to temp. In order to warm it up I have to keep my foot on the gas. If I don't it will die pretty quickly. It runs fine after its warmed up. I had the car tuned but Brandon didn't mess with any of the cold start tables that I know of. Any info would help. Thanks in advance

sounds like you have already identified the most likely cause of the problem....

That's not helpful at all. Oh I see you're in Holland, I guess you know Brandon. Any way that's not the issue. Maybe someone with some real suggestions will chime in.

:?:

not sure what you're on about...and I have never heard of any Brandon

I just tried to point out that the problem is most likely caused by incorrect values in the cold start (and AF warmup) tables, if the car runs ok once warmed up.

As Eric mentioned, the cold start tables probably need increasing if you are having issues only when cold. What are the AFRs like once it has warmed up? Just make sure its running okay otherwise since I dont normally see the need to increase the cold start tables

Hello ...

When did this first occur?
After you changed injectors?

I know a bit about the warmup tables.
(I tweaked them till my RB25 was happy 110%)

Can you describe what exactly is happening?

Do you start the car (from cold) and then it tends to die off right away?
Or does it idle OK and then starts to idle rough after some time (20 secs or so?) till it is warm?
