This is a bit of strange one
69F11 - 74F00
base image loaded onto each ecu.for the correct ecu
For ease of reference
69F11 Belongs to grey
74F00 belongs to white
both run the car they belong to
place the 69 into the white car and it wont start it- injectors not firing (noid test)
leave it 5 mins (ign off) come back to it and start first time runs great
Place the 74 in the grey car wont start it at all .. havn't checked injectors, just thought this was strange..
any ideas..
just wanted to compare ecu and make sure there wasny a problem with the 69
Both cars have hard wired fuel pumps on a switch..
thanks

Re: 69F11 vs 74F00 strange issue
Not sure why its having those issues without being there but as a rule we put 74Fxx images into 69Fxx because of a noted Nissan firmware issue where it cuts out at idle
Put the 74Fxx board into the 69Fxx ECU or reprogram the 69Fxx board and try that out

Re: 69F11 vs 74F00 strange issue
so let me get this strait, as slightly confused..
your saying that the 69Fxx base image can have issues(when placed on a 69Fxx ecu ? so you throw the 74Fxx image on the 69Fxx ecu? and that works ok..
so take the nistune board from the 69Fxx, wipe the 69Fxx image with a BIP and put a 74Fxx base image.. will the maps/bin still cross over without a problem, or retune the whole thing ?
Thanks

Yes you got it. Use 74f00 and there are no crossover issues. Use the same map
Re: 69F11 vs 74F00 strange issue
Be aware that 69F11 is an auto and 74F00 is a manual image. Do not swap auto/manual images.
So for 69F11 ECU you would use 74F11, not 74F00.
We've been seeing a problem with the 69Fxx series where the car will go into a weird sort of "limp" mode after sitting idling for about 3 minutes. Most people don't see it but I've had a couple of guys with track cars complain because they sometimes sit at the track entrance for extended periods and then it has happened. Flash equivalent 74Fxx image and they're perfect.

Pete have you seen this incompatibility with jdm ecus? I havent seen this yet swapping previously.
Main ecus so far observed with transmission incompatibilities are b13 sr20, s13/s14 ka24, r34 rb25. 8bit ecus are all okay

No, I've not seen auto/man swap issues with these particular ECU's. But I always try to avoid it if possible.
