Hi guys,
I am dealing with a 83J P10 ECU, where the VE table is also present. As usually, the whole fuel map has the o2 flag on.
The current setup includes 370cc injectors and P11 MAF.
After applying the new injectors and MAF, I end up with the rough estimate of the K which needs correction.
All filtered values in the fuel table are already 0, meaning I am ready to tweak the K in order to obtain 14.5-14.7:1 at 2-3000 rpm at minimal loads and o2 sensor feedback switched off.
My question is: I should also put 128 raw values in the VE low load/rpm corner in terms of setting the K constant correctly, right?
Thanks,
Martin

You can do this but with that part of the table just see if you can get 14.7:1 with the maps as they are

Re: Proper way to adjust K constant - 83J N/A
Thanks! I was able to obtain 14.7:1 both ways - with VE values as they are and, lowered to 128. The difference in the K value was minor (1 or 2).
The initial K value right after the injectors/MAF change was 215. I had to lower it down to 205, which makes the rough starting point quite sharp actually.
Engine runs good now. I will have to change the load scales on the fuel and ignition tables as my TP is lower than before and I barely reach column 4 right to left.
