CA18DET ECU with CA18DE engine

Post by martinb12gti »

Hello

I have a EUR sunny b12 with CA18DE engine with CA18DET injectors and use a CA18DET ecu.
What maps should i change to drive it to the dyno?

Sorry for my english, i'm from austria (europe) and speak only german.

Does the engine now have a turbo? So would be CA18DE+T?

What MAF is on the engine now?

If you use the CA18DET ECU you would use those maps, but pull out timing and adjust the MAF for what you are currently using and then tweak K constant until AFRs are back to normal

The maf is from a CA18DE but it has the same part number as the CA18DET one.

No there is no turbo, its only NA.

I have also the fuel rail, pressure regulator, intake manifold, throttle body and the fuel pump of a CA18DET in it.

It runs very good on idle with the original CA18DET maps.

Copy the fuel and timing maps from the CA18DE into the CA18DET image (using two copies of nistune and select map cells, copy and then paste into CA18DET Nistune second window)

It runs very good with low rpm, but when i accelerate the hole car was shaking on 2500rpm.
Is it possible that i run in the knock maps?
But there is no knocking at the knock counter.

Do you have a wideband connected? What are your AFRs like when it sounds like its leaning out?

Currently you have the S13 CA18DET VQ map for the AFM meter on there, so I'm assuming this is compatible with that you are running (incorrect VQ map will cause bad AFRs as load changes)

The AFR was between 16 and 18 when the car was shaking.
Now i change the k constant from 183 to 260.
Now it runs between 13 and 15.
How can i save this to the ecu?
Burn or upload?
Here was a log file from my run today.
The engine always go off when i use the clutch.

you do upload to send the changes or a new bin to try it out, with the laptop connected... if you're happy you click on burn so it's definitive...
