AEM UEGO wideband gauge cutting out.

Hi,
I'm trying to get my wideband talking to Nistune for logging (S14SR20DET) and it works for about ten seconds then just stops?
The gauge itself is fine but its like its disconnecting in Nistune.
I'm pretty new to New to Nistune and hopeless with computers (but learning!).
I have not done the HyperTerminal test because I'm running windows 8 and the programs not on here, and I don't really know where to go from here?
Any help is appreciated.

Does it only stop talking when the engine is running? Do you have suitable grounding connected?

What is your USB-serial converter model/brand? Make sure you use an FTDI based cable or a good brand one as it may be dropping out on you perhaps?

I tried a different cable (I didn't know there are different types) and it seems all good now, thanks for your help.
