R35 Maf problems
i am not sure if this is a problem or not, but i wired in some hitachi r35 mafs on my bnr32 with 3" x2 pipe . It seems on is reading higher than the other on the voltage and is this normal?

Re: R35 Maf voltage difference
The ECU will work with an average of both sensors.
Was is doing that with the factory setup?
What if you swap the sensors, does it follow or stay the same?
If it stays the same, it means one pipe is flowing more air through than the other
Probably should be okay if your AFRs are consistent

Re: R35 Maf voltage difference
the afr is not really consistent, it would swing about 1.2-2.3 . I will try to do what you recommend and see about the pipes. I did not check or logged the stock setup >_<

Re: R35 Maf problems
Changed pipes to the greddy , changed the maf but it does not say that i am using the r35 after the changes. Am i missing something , because the car was acting up later on the day.
Re: R35 Maf problems
clean maf, checked the wiring for connectivity issue, check for vac leak and in the log the car started driving fine then i pulled over at the house and it went rich as a pig. i would appreciate any insight to my hindsight to solve this problem. also in the change maf option it still says none detected when i change it to the dual r35 maf

Re: R35 Maf problems
That is because the MAF detection only works for 'full size' mafs. So dont worry about that too much
Look at the VQ map to see what I mean here. Yours will be 'half size' when using the tickbox which halves the VQ map. This is since there are two MAFs and half of each curve is used for each MAF (effectively doubled)
Please also post tune file

Re: R35 Maf problems
this time around i just adjusted the TIM and left the k constant alone, but the result was the same. after i drive it and park it would loose it shit and go pig rich

Re: R35 Maf problems
Curve is not correct in file. when doing the resize tick the 'halve' button
Re: R35 Maf problems
i have done that, i ticked the halve box and the double box, choose r35 maf 3" > commit change > OK , then i start up the vehicle.
edit:
it seems i fail to read and comprehend >_< it says tick double if using the stock rb26 maf on a different vehicle. >_< going to try it out now.
edit2:
ok it now gives me a dtc12 afm start=0 >_<
I have checked the wiring and even the logs shows proper voltage
