ok so its been some time and i've taken care of a few issues the car had but im still hitting a rev limiter starting around 7300~rpm even tho i have it set to 7950rpm and i took your advice an set the tp max to 255 but its still the same.. i have attached a log with the tune, you can see it starts to cut fuel after 7300~ an then cuts hard at 7500

hopefully we can figure this out, i could use some more rpm in the 1/4 mile lol :)

I'm not seeing an actual rev cut, but you are leaning out

You can see this in the snip attached, firstly AFRs went from 12.9 to 19.4

This is before there was a drop in injection time (12.49ms) and there is no TP cut in the log (TP never hit 0)

Check fuel delivery firstly

Also thought you were going to run feature pack? Its currently using the 64Y01 BIN file

If i understood correctly i must have my board flashed to the newer stuff before i can use the feature pack? I have not done this yet..

Fuel delivery should be good, i installed a aem 320lph fuel pump which should be more than enough for this setup.. I dont have a fuel pressure gauge to verify pressure.. I also ran a larger power wire from a seperate fuse box that goes directly to the battery and a relay to the pump so its no longer relying on 25+ year old nissan wiring to power the pump hehe

Its definitely a fuel cut / rev limit.. It starts soft cutting cylinders you can feel it and if u stay on the peddle by 7500 it hits hard an you really feel it

Maybe ill try setting it lower like 6000 just to see if the rev limiter is working at all?

You can definitely try that out. The actual rev hard cut should normally drop TP to 0. You should see this in the log. Make the hard cut lower than your soft cut during testing

There is no real need to go from 64Y00 to 64Y01 when you just needed the latest 64Y0F file (feature pack) in the board. That removes some of the rev cuts in the ECU code, and increases the top RPM limit above 12,500rpm

Then just use the file > import option to import your previous tune into FP. At the moment you are still using standard Nissan code it seems without the rev limit changes (64Y01)

ok so i set the limiter to 6000 and it worked no problem, so i set it to 8500 and back to same ol 7300-7500rpm limiter, feels the same the way it hits limiter at 6000 or 7300-7500~

i also tried playin with the safety limiter, tried 5350rpm and 10k rpm but there was no change..

and im not sure if i did it right but i downloaded the newest FP and opened the B13_SR20DE_64Y0F_MT_MT_FP_maps.bin then went to File>import maps to feature pack and so then i had all my maps in the new B13_SR20DE_64Y0F_MT_MT_FP_maps.bin, then i saved it as starla fp.bin however when i tried to load it to ecu it kept having issues with the address file or something.. so i let it load whatever address file it wanted an then saved the .bin, i have not went an tried reloading it since as its getting dark..

also the connection status bar was moving really slow, not fast like normal.. which is why im sure i did something wrong..

any who heres the 2 logs, one when set at 6000~ and the other 8500rpm and the starla fp.bin

thanks a bunch for helping me man i really do appreciate it!

Logs show the board is flashed with 64Y01 which is not feature pack. Maximum limit you can set is 8012rpm

You will need to get Andy to flash 64Y0F to use the feature pack and increased RPM limits. You cannot load FP files into your 64Y01 flashed boards, which is why the software keeps on trying to go back to non-FP address files when connecting your ECU (and FP address files when loading FP BIN files)

Ok thought so.. Still doesnt explain why i cant rev past 7300-7500 tho :(

Hopefully i can get my other car going soon so i can send the board in to be updated.. Kinda sucks tho cuz when i had the board in my other ecu in my other car back in the day my rev limiter would work all thw way to 8k

So that still cuts with 'Rev limit 1' set to 7900 (just below 8500) since the 8500rpm in that last tune file may not work as expected (since over 8012)

Also try increasing 'rev limit count' in the interim to delay the cut (255 is the maximum). However once you have the updated firmware, that will all be sorted

Added an extra rev limit (its not displaying right however, so showing half actual value) to try out (attached)
