IACV from another car?

Post by Pr0xm1tyy »

Looking at IACV options, as my plenum doesn't have a flange for one. I was originally going to weld a flange on, then I was going to make a flange adapter and running it in-line.

Then I noticed, an IACV such as the E36 BMW one is in line, clean and simple. It's a 2 wire PWM IACV.

Any opinions or informed judgement as to what will happen if I tried to run one? Fire and brimstone? Will it just stall and die because the ECU has no idea as what to do? Will it find it's feet and learn where the sweet spot is for idling nicely?

Cheers!

AAC (IACV) just pulses to a duty cycle, so it will probably work assuming it pulses the airfow the same as factory
