Timing in filters vs actual.

Post by tubbz »

Hey Matt, What Effects timing filtered view for the map. Trying to simplify my tuning of timing, but seem to be about 5° off of my actual timing versus my filtered map view. I don't have any knock flags active. But wondering if this is similar to the post about the "ecu pulling 5 deg of timing" post. And one of the parameters can be changed to affect this.

Which ECU/engine was this for? M30 or other?

Filtered view normally has +128 for knock values. The other filtered offsets are defined in the address file

If you view Documents/Nistune/Address and open the address file for your vehicle, you can see any timing offsets, plus consult timing offset (if applicable) in this file

Most don't need them except for a few (M30 VG30E and S13 CA18DET which have some strange offsets)
