Need help having issues..
I down loaded the new version, and am tring to start my car, it's the first time i'm using nistune on the car, and I am unable to connect to the ECU, the nistune software keeps saying no consult connected, and even so my ecu will not turn on the car with the base map that comes stock with the nistune. I thought it was drivers, but i dl'ed i am running vista, so i got another laptop from a buddy with XP and tried still no good.

Which ECU is this? Did you try connecting to consult before installing the board at all?
Have you changed AFM or injectors at all, to prevent it from starting now because of different tune?
Basically I'm trying to work out if the ECU is currently running limp mode and has problems after the board install?
If the ECU is running limp mode you will get the check engine light on later model ECUs or the ECU LED flashing / staying solid on earlier model EUCs
If the ECU is running limp then you cannot connect to consult

This is a board 1 for a CA18DET I did not hook it up prior to installing into ECU, Both the Green and Red lights of the ECU are on. The car works fine with the stock ECU, The ECU i'm useing now with Nistune was working prior to nistune.
Not that board is in the car will not start with this ecu. And I am unable to link the usb consult.

I would suggest you run through the steps in the Type 1 Diagnostics Document which is on the Documentation page
If both lights stay on continously then it is not reading the ROM from the board properly
Basically we have to go back a bit to work out where it went wrong
So your car will run with a factory ECU installed. How about removing the NIStune board from your second ECU and inserting the EPROM chip you extracted. Does the car still run with this chip installed?
This will determine if there is a socketing probem
Next once you have the ECU running with the EPROM installed, put the board in instead and check that the the four wire cable you have installed is the correct ordering. If possible please take a photo of the install and email to me to double check for you
We check the boards on an ECU before posting out, so in most cases it is an installation issue we encounter when it doesnt run
Once the car is able to start with the board installed, then you should also be able to connect to it
