idle adjustment and iacv

Post by chris2712au »

is there a way to set the idle higher like 900 or 950 ??? cause the iacv stabilises it to 850.... is there a setting for it in nistune...

Most address files have a target idle RPM which you can change. Which vehicle/engine are you looking at?

The ECU adjusts the timing to achieve the desired RPM when possible

I see what you mean. This address file hasnt got all the maps in the same location as S14A and earlier

I've manged to find what I think is idle speed (same as S14A) and updated the address file (attached)

hey matt, thanks for the file got the adjustment that i needed done... standard blacktop with the 80 deg thermostat in it was making the car idle all over the place... it is set at 850 for 70 deg and 800 for 80 deg.. so if the temp is hovering in between it stuffs the idle up... now 850 all the time..

As for the file you have given me some extra functions...
1. throttle enrichment..
2. cold throttle enrichment..
3. cold timing advance...

these are all reading -40 for the coolant temp however the idle and the temp calibration are all working fine...as in 80 deg... any ideas...

thanks in advance ..

You mean the maptracing cursor on these is sitting at -40? I probably havent added the tracing in for those tables yet. I need to clean up that S15 address file futher and get some more parameters in too

Have to check it out. Added to the list

Parameters which are in the S14 address file should be able to be added to the S15 address files (the ones currently missing) once I get some time to hunt them down. Mainly for idle enrichment, coil time and things like that which dont get used much anyway

The next NIStune version probably in about a week or two once I have sufficient changes in there to make another release
