Consult Gauges, only knock

Post by S13^Denmark »

Hi,

just got my engine back in the car, not ready for start-up yet. But, playing with the Nistune software, and after reading the manual, I discovered that when i hit the button "Consult Gauges" only Knock gauge appears. The manual shows a load of gauges. Havent connected the PC to ECU.

When I ordered the Type 1 Board, there were put in a ROM file, wich should match my original chip.

Is the only thing just to turn the key, and hopefully se the rebuild engine fire up?

Hope theres some guys who can give me an answer.

Cheers Morten

the rest of the guages should show up when you actually get connected to the ecu.

If you turn your car to acc (where just radio/light etc work, but starter doesn't kick in) then you should be able to connect to your ecu without the engine running...

You can read some sensor values that way I guess and make sure the ECU sees your MAF etc...

But yeah the only real way to know if everything is good-to-go is to fire it up while praying to the nissan gods.

Well if your ECU doesn't see signal MAF voltage etc, it'll show up as a DTC in the nistune software.
