Logging problem in Injector duty cycle/time???

Post by Christian »

Hello

I did a long run with the new wideband connected and noticed that sometimes the values for injection time/duty cycle are odd.

It can be clearly seen at 45 minutes 30 seconds that with full throttle from low revs upward duty cycle is 24% max, then at 2475 suddenly drops to 12%. AFR stays in realistic regions, so I suspect the injector duty to be false.

I used
Nistune 0.9.13.1b
Type 1 V4 board
Techedge 2Y
The car is a european 180SX (200sx here) CA18DET RS13
Adress file is from ROM Pack 2.1 S13_CA18DET_128_E.adr

Cheers
Christian

same problem but at higher rpm on ca18det too.

seems that it happens at a certain amount of injection. ( switch from sequential to batch fire injection)

its the ECU switching injection mode from what I can see....

the raw injection time reported by the ECU changes also, so its not just our duty cycle calculation

Is there any way to override the calculation to force the real injection time ?

Or is there a fixed factor of "2" between consult and "real" ? so when consult gives 50% duty it is 100% in real ?

we would need to know from the ECU that it is switching. im not sure how we could determine this to alter the display so it appears more accurate

I have searched in all my logs If I can see something same each time it happens. but no way.....
It is not RPM based, sure of that .

but I think it is based on the TP, as it happens at low rpms with stock turbo and later with bigger turbo.
about 2500-2700rpm with T25
3200-3500 with my gt2871
and 3800rpm with the gt3071

I thought it was when injector time was above 8ms because on my car, it happens each time before this time.
but I saw on the log above that it happens after 11ms on his car...
