Eric, do you by any chance also have any solution for the idle problem, when using z32 ecu with rb25 ? That would be wonderful.

what idle problem exactly ?

Have you tried to (re)set the base idle to the correct rpm ?

I'm having Idle problems also...
Idling is really messed. Even thought i set them to 650 or 700 they cannot go less then 750 and the vaccuum in intake mainfold is not strong only about -360-390 mm Hg (about -0.4 i believe) And it should be around -400-440 m Hg.
Even thought i tightened idle control bolt on idle valve under bonnet.

Make sure the TPS Closed light comes on when the throttle is closed. This is what normally messes up idle (assuming you don't have any air leaks in the inlet). Unless this flag is set the ECU doesn't know that it's supposed to be making the engine idle.

Had one like this last week. R33 with R32 ECU. Idling at 1350. Running poorly at light throttle. Got the TPS closed light to come on and suddenly everything was perfect.

I'll try to check TPS.

Thought it run great on low TPS it has an idle issue and on quick TPS open sometimes AFR drop to 9. Cant locate the map ecll yet for this issue.

just to avoid any confusion...you will need to burn the complete image I posted into the Nistune board. (using a Nistune Base Image Programmer Board)

just using the maps/tables from the image I posted won't do anything...you need the complete image: code + maps/tables.

for most nissans the procedure is:

-set TPS voltage (in idle position) to somewhere around 0.45 V

-Start the engine and let it idle.

-Unplug the grey connector on the TPS (the one on a seperate wire) while the engine is idling for 10 seconds

-Plug the connector back in and this will reset all TPS and Closed Throttle Switch settings in the ECU.

Hope this helps

Thought i saw some voltage less then 0.45 on my TPS, the TPS closed light appear on "consult gauge" and still have indel issue.

Thopught now i guess i'm having alot of issues with K-const and latency.

Pete - how did you get fuel temp working with pin 35 in that document?

Two sources so far have the fuel temp pin 36

Does this need an update?

this particular ROM can be used for a R33 GTST (RB25DET), but with the right maps/tables it can be used for a Z32 as well.

So Eric
