R32DET Ecu on R34 RB25 DE Neo

Post by r32pat »

Forgive me if this has been addressed in another thread.
I have had a brief look at work today and havent been able to find the answer.

Is there anyway to use the R34 RB25 DE Neo Cas with the R32 ECU ??

Ive heard rumors around the place that you can do something with wiring to make them work.

Obviously i have a nistune board in my R32 Ecu.

Cheers in advance

i thought the RB25DE NEO engines used a grey connector ECU simalar to the RB25DET but they were made by hitachi (hence not modifyable like the JECS ones like on the RB25DET)

my only suggestion here would be to see if you can run the RB25DE with RB25DET ECU. if so then could be an option

RB25DET Neo ecu works with DE engine - tried this combo.

R34 CAS most definitely will not work with R32 ecu - slot pattern on a CAS wheel is different for early and late RB engines.

Hi, Peter! Long time no chat! Hope everything is good with you :)
There is a way over this. You just need to rewire the CAS plug. I think 0deg and 120deg need to be swapped. Check the wiring out. It worked for R33 using NEO engine with r33 ecu. Since all other sensors are practically the same, I don't see how it won't work.
Good luck!

Hey man! Nice to hear from you too.

Re OP's question - he asks about R32. According to my info source, R32 uses CAS disk with four standard size slots and two unique width slots for sync purposes. R34 CAS has all unique slots, i.e. no two slots are of the similar width, so rewiring won't help. AFAIK, R33 has their CAS changed at some point of their production period, hence possibility for R33 ECU to work with CAS
