Re: Launch control
Hey Stu, nice work! can you please make a video of your tests and your results? Curious to see your results.
Also, i'd like to ask what exactly does your implementation of a LC do - does it provide antilag capabilities? ignition retard rev limiter? Or it is just a kind of speed/clutch position/other parameter dependent rev limiter?

Re: Launch control
Yup, will post a video when we've tested it out
Launch control is system to reduce the rev limiter below a certain speed, Ie A RPM limit of 4500 below 30km/h , It helps reduce wheelspin on powerful cars. Think of it like a traction control strategy.
Anitlag on a road going car is going to be nasty, retarding the timing creates all sorts of heat troubles, not to mention the occasional explosions - this KILLS mufflers and cat convertors..

Re: Launch control
Matt, any news on launch control settings in nistune?
Did you tried to load my files?

Re: Launch control
I've been working with stu on his address files. RPM is now fixed in a test version I have and speed was added on Monday
I should have a build up this weekend with those fixes in

Re: Launch control
so it will work with my files posted here?
it's a great news! waiting for it to be built!

Re: Launch control
Matt, did you built it? Is it possible to test this version?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Launch control
SRC,
I wrote the code for it.. Matt only ENT'd it for me. I have some testing to do in 2 days time on my clients test vehicle. I'm very confident that it will work as expected. There's been an issue with a secondary RPM limiter hidden in the code which I have just identified and have developed a work around. It operates on my simulator bench, but in a vehicle is the only true test !

Re: Launch control
ok, I just want to have this simple feature in my nistune board, not only in my static board ecu.
BTW, Stu, on which engine you will be testing it?
I suppose it will be available for my b13 ecu.

Re: Launch control
Hi Roman,
At present it's for the SR20DET, I can't see why it won't work in other variants. Which BIN do you have in your B13 (it's SR or KA engined?)
Stu
P.S. I see you put your BIN up, try sending it to info@nistune.com and ask Matt to encrypt it for you. Matt and Pete are the only guys with the capability to convert it to the ENT for Nistune boards. You'll need a base image programmer to 'burn' it into your Type3 board though.

Re: Launch control
Roman,
I should have decoded the bin before posting that earlier. I see it's a 64Y01. Your lucky, you don't have the secondary RPM limit like the Turbo variants do.. And that makes your life easy!!

Re: Launch control
B13 already has a version available for it which calum made available
Re: Launch control
src - I've checked with your ADR file also
I put the file into /misc subfolder and changed line to
INCLUDE,../BASE_SR20_KA24_256_E.ADR
It displays the LC RPM parameters and speed correctly after some changes tonight.
Your speed shows as FF however with that BIN file you attached
I'll cut another release tomorrow evening (since no time over the easter weekend)

Re: Launch control
will this work with s14 sr20det? downloaded the link above and nothing is different so went back to 14.2
Re: Launch control
I see this isn't on the Nistune website yet...
with what models will this work BTW ?
