VQ table for SR20VE MAF

Post by yoshoto »

I noticed that the SR20VE VQ table is missing from the group of VQ tables. The N15 SR16 one is there, although the MAF's are identical part numbers the tables between the SR16 and 20 ecus are different, Is there a reason it was left out or it doesnt matter as in just use the SR16 one and adjust the fuel?

in the stock SR20VE bin (5J0XX ecus) the MAF VQ table starts at hex 1700

No one has ever asked for it. We can add it just need to copy it out of the bin and put an estimated HP figure against it and add it to the folder

oh I see, I just figured the down under crowd would have been using the sr20ve maf all the time, I know the US guys don't use it except for a few ppl.

i went ahead and added it to the folder and updated the vq.def file to show its there, the software was able to then load and recgonize the table when in use, I had to run in safe mode to do it because the security permisions of the folder were resisting any changes to the folder.

No body asked because the SR16VE and SR20VE MAF is so close that they just 'work' ?

When compared are they actually 'that' different ?

The SR16VE and 20VE mafs are the same part, I think maybe the N1 is different, its just the tables used in the stock ecus are different.

Its different enough, more importantly I needed it to suit my base bin.

U see I recently bought a type 3 board with a base file 64y01 for B13 VE inj, VE maf. The table they used was the SR20VE one so if for instance I was going to change the MAF, right away problem, the software didnt auto recognise the MAF in use and also I have no starting point in terms of maf HP to scale the K value (automatically).

I figure as well the values in the table are more suited for the 20VE being a larger displacement, the values in the 16ve table are smaller in the lower area of the table I would guess for idle and low load, up top with the higher rev and the higher lift of the cams the 1.6 @ 7800 rpm may breathe the same or more than the 2.0 @ 6800 rpm

There are now two SR16VE mafs listed in the options.

Suggest revisions:

N15-SR16VE > OK leave as-is
N16-SR16VE > REMOVE from the list as it should be the same as N15 SR16VE, if its not, need to determine the source of that VQ Map, no N16's had SR16VE (just as the 'N16 SR16VE' ROM was removed from the ROM Pack)
N15 SR20VE > change to "P11 SR20VE" (N15 never came with SR20VE, they're just commonly converted to SR20VE's)

The 20V MAF is definintely going to be a different VQ map due to its size and the whole sensor array is 'different' (later type/different version?).

The 20V MAF part number is unique as well (i.e doesn't specifically match any other vehicle) although the sensor assembly, in a smaller pipe, might match something like an Xtrail or Maxima.

I do have a couple of them sitting here, can't seem to shift them because there is no readily availible VQ Map, i also have a P12 ECU, but i have no way to connecting it up, plus its ODB2 so no idea of where/how i could extract the map.

Okay I had the part #s mixed up for these

N15 SR20VE is actually WP11 SR20VE
N16 changed to N15 SR16VE

Updated ROM pack and VQ maps for next release

With the N1 MAF if you have a BIN file containing this I can add it (which ECU does this come from?)

I'll post ver 1 and ver 2 N1 stock rom when I get a chance. You should be able to pull the part numbers from the rom. Both V1 and 2 use the same MAF so should be the same VQ map, just modified fuel ignition and VVL points.

N1 ECU and connector is unique/different as it uses 8 injector drivers but the rom layout is basically the same as other SRxxVE roms.
