Speaking to a tuner during training several weeks ago and the question about using the Fuel Pump Control Module output arose.
Most people upgrade their fuel pumps, and use only the relay output from the ECU. The idle control output (which adjusts fuel pump operation based on idle RPMs) which is used to reduce noise is no longer required in the majority of applications
We have found a way to use this in all HCR32 ECUs (04Uxx, 11Uxx) to drive the VCT solenoid in RB25DET applications. The simple addition of a transistor, driven from pin 104 (FPCM idle control) to drive pin 113 (VCT) is now available!

Install instructions updated:
http://nistune.com/docs/Nistune%20Featu ... nstall.pdf
1. Reprogram the Nistune board (using base image programmer) with the HCR32_FOR_RB25_11U0F_MT_TPS_VCT_VFCOUT_v5_FP.ENT file
2. Install the transistor into the ECU as per the instructions (Part # BD679 available from Farnell.com and other electronics specialists)
3. Ensure your (upgraded) fuel pump relay is driven directly from the ECU fuel pump output (instead of using the Fuel pump control module). Thats pretty much it...
