Hi all , recently installed a bov to atmosphere and driving it feels and sounds great , I have it wound up to full tension as I really only installed it because I’m running 18psi and probably go higher in the future and feel the turbo will appreciate the relief . my only issue is after long deceleration in gear it can sometimes exhaust pop really loud like a gunshot ? Is there a way to adjust my tune to stop this from happening ?
Some specs for reference
S13 SR20det
1000cc injectors
Feature pack upgrade
Running e85
Thanks
Steve

Re: BOV to atmosphere question
Hi Steve
When you vent to atmosphere, you are releasing 'measured' airflow, which is why you get the pop from usually over-enrichment because this, and that ends up in your exhaust
The only way is recirculating the BOV so it goes back before the turbo
You can't adjust the tune since that just reads the MAF load and fuel map, which doesn't take into account the released airflow. I'm working on extra firmware to limit the MAF load reading on decel to avoid this. Done for R34 but need to expand to other models
