car going into storage....

hey guys i have a type three board in my gtir pulsar which has been tuned and im putting the car into storage, my question is can i take off the leads on the battery or will it eventually wipe the tune off the computer??

any info would be great as i have no idea about this kind of stuff my tuner does everything.

its ok to disconnect it, you wont loose anything but learnt values, which will restore themselves on restart anyway.

wont be a problem. we use EEPROM backed SRAM... basically similar technology to things like USB FLASH keys for example and will keep the data basically forever. doesnt care about loss of power etc
