Knock detect questions... (Safety boost/Knock maps)
Bear with me for some questions as Im trying to figure out knock issues. Thanks... How do we know when the ecu has jumped over to using the knock and timing map (safety boost)? Is there one or two types of knock that will display on the consult guages? Is a knock message the same as code 34? Will th...

RE: DB9 USB adapter
So all I do is connect it up and it will automatically start reading it? The reason I ask is because I know there are "com" settings to configure but usb isn't one of them. Sorry if I posted this in the wrong area.

Anyone know if Nistune will read the Innovate WB from when connected up to a DB9 to USB adapter cable? The newer laptop I have only has USB inputs. TIA

Glitch with the Injector Resizing Calculations?
Im finding some inconsistancies with injector sizing. Nistune resizes injector k-values differently than what I have been finding in "real-world" tunes. For instance I found these sizing calculations below on twinturbo.net: For 370cc injectors use a K-value of ~ 288 For 440cc injectors use...

Automated Power Balance Test feature Suggestion...
A feature that would do an automatic (custumizable or preprogrammed) power balance test. Heres what I would suggest: The ecu takes a baseline average idle reading first. When you click a button the ecu would systematically drop each cylinder one at a time for a period of (10 seconds or user defined ...

Thanks Matt
That clears it up (latency numbers)... Well it looks like Im just gonna take this thing to Specialty Z for a full diagnostics on this detonation problem. Ive done nearly everything I can except swap CAS's or check actual timing marks. One more question: what is the difference in the two areas in Nis...

RE: replies
Fuel filter is new and it also doesn't matter what gas station I use. Hi Matt there are two areas and one is injector latency, and the other is injector latency change. The first one was originally set at 1500 and the second at 204 ms I believe. It did not run right untill I set the first to 2000. B...

RE: Injector latency for Nismo 555's? Z32
Can anyone share some info on what the injector latency should be for the 555 injectors? The car didn't Idle right when I only changed the injectors so I increased the injector latency by 25% to 2000 since I upgraded the injectors that much. The car idles and revs much better. On a side note I have ...

Fixed....
Sorry for the delay, I meant to get back to post that I fixed the problem somehow. I opened up the ecu and was able to take out the daughter board. It seemed to be in there pretty sturdy but when I pulled it out a few of the prongs seemed to be slightly bent which I thought I could have done when I ...

Nistune Type II board install problem..
Hi Matt, I sent out my board to moates to get the daughter board installed and got it back a couple weeks ago. I finally got around to putting it in this weekend and immediately I notice a problem. The first thing that happened was the aux fan kicked on before starting the car. The Z32 did start rig...

JWT Dual Pop Charger Tune..
Hi everyone Im new to tuning so please bear with me... What do I change to adjust for dual pop intakes? Do I double the values in "MAF translation"? Also do I have to adjust something else for it to idle properly? Will I still have to install the "low-speed drivability hose" or c...
