Re: Wideband input tracer and averages
So you need 80.000kB just for the allocation of 50k words (16 bit i presume?). In theory that should only take 100kB, which is peanuts for any computer these days. If it takes more then either you have a very bad compiler (can imagine some compilers use word-alignment on 32 or 64 bit boundaries, but...

Re: Slight stumble on accel to cruise transition
Ill try to do some logs when the weather improves here.
I dont see any deceleration fuel cut tables for the CA18DET however?

Slight stumble on accel to cruise transition
OK im not sure where to start looking so im asking here first. Engine is a CA18DET with 440cc, completely rebuild ~2yrs ago. 3" exhaust from turbo. The engine runs great, good power on accelerating, stable idling and cruising. However a problem arises when i do normal to light acceleration and ...

Re: How is load actually calculated?
Max TP is 255, standard maximum for an 8 bit number. Basically for the ecu, Load = air flow. Load is calculated by taking the AFM voltage, linearizing it (through the VQ map) and multiplying it by a fixed constant. So how does the ECU know that I'm actually on the road accelerating hard and not in n...

Re: Adjust Knock Sensor Sensitivity?
if you filter out all the knock frequencies, then yes you wont detect it any more. But thats different from attenuating the signal.

There is only one knock sensor for CA18DET.

Re: Non-existant logs?
Isnt this caused by the Virtual Store function of windows7? Programs no longer have write permission in the programfiles map, thus any file created there by an application is actually stored in the virtual store. Somewhere like C:\Users\*username*\AppData\Local\VirtualStore Solution is to either run...

Does it also misfire below the 3500 limit?
Any DTC's in consult?
Perhaps revlimit set wrong? I see only one entry in nistune, dont most nissan ecu's have like 2 or 4 of these limits?

It is not supposed to stop after 3mins. Ive done several 30-40mins logs before without problems.

Re: can someone check my tune?
OK great you have got that sorted out now. Id stick with the default CA fuel pressure. Its not static, it changes with manifold pressure anyway... I think mine ranges from about 35psi (vacuum) to about 55psi on boost. Manufacture latency can be directly programmed with nistune. Then do a light load ...

Re: can someone check my tune?
That is why you now need to modify the K value until you get a nice mixture. Make sure you empty the fueltable first!!

Re: can someone check my tune?
Yes, .54 is the same as 0.540ms or 540us (microseconds).
And since nistune wants the number in microseconds, you need to enter 540 in the box. Guess that would help your fuel map in the lower region alot!

Re: can someone check my tune?
Start with the basics: - Set latency to your injector defaults (get them from manufacturer, or search, lists are available for common types) - Empty the fuelmap, so no corrections are present - Use a conservative base map for timing Then start the engine and only allow for low load to medium load. T...

Re: can someone check my tune?
It seems fuel map is way off at low end.
Timing looks too retarded at anything but low end.
Im guessing you didnt tune k-value and injector latency before modifying the fuel map?

Agreed with PL
One resistive wire is for temperature compensation, the other is for flow measurement.
